Cloth nappy wash and care tips
STORAGE
Close the velcros on their flaps after each use. Place soiled nappies in a laundry basket or an open wet bag designed for sooiled nappies. Wash the nappies every 2-3 days. Do not soak or rinse nappies during this process as they should remain as dry as possible. If you rinse your nappies, you should hang them to dry and wash them within the following 24 hours.
Washing routine
A good washing routine will help your diapers stay odor-free.
Rinse with cold water
Helps get rid of any residue.
Regular wash cycle
Warm water cycle (40º).
Do not put too much water in the washer, the diaper must rub against each other.
If you have hard water, do not rinse a second time and make sure to use a powder detergent.
Detergent
1. Must not contain fabric softener.
2. Do not use baby detergent, as it is not concentrated enough to wash the nappies properly.
3. Marseille soap is not compatible with cloth nappies. However, some brands, which do not contain glycerin, can safely be used.

Drying
We recommend using the dryer to dry the inserts, nappies and covers most of the time. This step tightens the threads and “seals” the Polyurethane Laminate (PUL) that covers the outer fabric (the waterproof membrane). Be careful to not to manipulate them when they are hot and not to overdry them! You can also lay your nappies flat to dry.
